Success for Abriox is measured in terms of customer satisfaction and repeat business. However, we are delighted to have received a number of awards from commercial and industry bodies. They show that we are achieving excellence – and are a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our staff.
We have been awarded the following:
At the British Chambers of Commerce awards gala dinner held at the Hurlingham Club in London on 25 November, Abriox was announced as Winner of the Business of the Year Award.
Jill Davies, Chief Executive of sponsors Westfield Health, commented “Your success in winning Business of the Year is an outstanding achievement and a real testament to business excellence in your organisation”.
In addition Abriox received a cheque for £25,000 by winning the Award for Outstanding Business Achievement, courtesy of Natwest. The Chamber Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence and provide an opportunity to gain recognition on a national scale for the hard work and achievements of Member Companies.
At an awards dinner in Cardiff on 24 September, Abriox was announced as Welsh Company of the Year 2010.
Justin Beddows, communications manager for sponsors Admiral, said: “The Chambers of Commerce Business Awards 2010 recognise the achievements of Welsh business, and the contribution Welsh companies make to our economy and to that of the whole United Kingdom. We hope Abriox continues to be a beacon of success for business in Wales.”
At the British Chambers of Commerce Awards, held at London’s National Maritime Museum on 26 November 2009, Abriox won the national “Most Promising New Business” and the “Achievement in International Business” awards. Abriox represented the Wales region in both categories.
The Chamber Awards were launched by the BCC in 2004 to recognise and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of its Accredited Chambers of Commerce and their members.
Paul Hales and Neil Summers received the New Business category award from Bob Bissell of sponsors BT and the International Award from Nigel Mills of sponsors RBS Invoice Finance.
Abriox is the 2009 winner of the Pipeline Industries Guild’s Land-Based Pipeline Technology Award.
This is awarded to a company which, in the opinion of the judges, has provided the onshore pipeline industry with an important new technique which constitutes an identifiable step forward in cost reduction, improved safety or environment performance.
The award was presented to Abriox at the prestigious PIG Annual Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The annual Chambers of Commerce Business Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of South Wales companies to the Welsh economy. A small panel drawn from the public, private and education sectors judge all entries and short-list three finalists in each category.
Abriox was short-listed in the “Most Promising New Business” category, sponsored by Kymin Financial Services. The judges’ criteria were: the rationale behind starting the business; objectives set for the business and progress to date in achieving them; and future plans and processes in place to attain these. We were delighted to win the award, which reflects three years of hard work by the whole Abriox team to achieve a market-leading position in our target segment within the gas and petrochemical industries.
The winners of the various categories are then assessed for an overall “Outstanding Business Achievement” award, sponsored by the South Wales Argus. Abriox picked up this award as well! Gerald Davies, Managing Director of Kymin, commented: “I was delighted that you also went on to win the Winner of Winners award, which I felt endorsed mine and the other judges’ opinion of your submission”.
