Remote CP monitoring is an increasingly important aspect of a well designed CP (cathodic protection) system.
CP measurements must be carried out regularly. But CP measurements are labour-intensive, costly and (importantly) reactive - they do not identify corrosion problems but are merely spot measurements taken after a problem may have occurred.
