Transformer rectifier (TR) monitoring is an increasingly important aspect of a well designed pipeline protection system.
Transformer rectifier checks must be carried out regularly. But TR checks are labour-intensive, costly and (importantly) reactive - they do not identify corrosion problems but are merely spot measurements taken after a corrosion problem may have occurred.
