Abriox is developing an exciting new feature for our MERLIN Rectifier Monitoring range. Two new MERLIN units (MERLIN EXCEL with cellular communication or MERLIN XT EXCEL with satellite communication) will, in future, be able to provide a pipe locating signal in addition to synchronised interruption.
The feature will be remotely controllable, from either a cell phone or from Abriox iCPSM software. An Abriox solid state MERLIN Interrupter is required, which is housed in a separate enclosure to the rectifier and capable of switching up to 50A.
This unique, patent-protected, feature will enable pipeline operators to trace the route of their pipelines without needing to install any signal generating equipment.
