INSTALLATION
Our objective is to design products that are intuitive and easy to install and use. Therefore we recommend customers to nominate a small number of engineering staff to be our initial points of contact. We will provide training in the technology and use of our products and participate in the first field installations as a practical exercise. Within a very short time we expect to have transferred our knowledge so that they can train others within their organization – or continue to manage the ongoing expansion of the system as more monitors are installed.
We provide Installation Instructions for all our products. Test and set up at site simply require a magnet (for initiating the monitor) and a cellphone – no specialist equipment or laptop is required. Connector blocks are labelled for easy connection to monitoring points.
Standard installation times and site requirements are:
- • MERLIN Transformer Rectifier Monitor – 1 hour, assuming a fused AC mains connection is readily available at the TR.
- • MERLIN Test Post Monitor - 30 mins.
For UK (M28) test posts fitted with reference cell and coupon, Abriox supplies a standard installation assembly comprising Test Post Monitor connector wired with M12 ring terminal connections to the pipe (black), reference cell (red) and coupon (blue). 20mA/200mV and 200mA/200mV shunts are fitted for 1 cm2 coupons and 25 cm2 coupons respectively.
